Responsible for assisting the Director of Surgical Services with day to day operations of the OR/Surgery Department throughout Nebraska Heart including; staff management, physician interaction, recruitment, scheduling, cross-functional training and staff education. Gives input to department fiscal management and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations as they relate to the Surgery Department, including policy and procedure development and implementation. Also responsible for direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction and high quality clinical outcomes. Licensed RN with a minimum of 3 years OR experience is required. Charge nurse/leadership experience is desired, but will train the right individual with a passion to lead! ACLS and BLS certification may be required after employment commences. Date Posted: 1/6/2010
