Volunteer Program

Become a Nebraska Heart Volunteer
Give the gift of time and talents to enhance the excellent quality of care given to patients and family members at the Nebraska Heart Hospital campus. Volunteer opportunities include greeting patients, delivering flowers, providing refreshments to family members in waiting areas and reinforcing Nebraska Heart's mission of ensuring patient access to quality healthcare, superior outcomes, and a place where patients do come first.

Steps to follow in becoming a Volunteer:
  • Obtain a volunteer application packet from NHI, (402) 328-3941 or download packet information directly from our website (above right).
  • Read all packet information thoroughly. Complete the volunteer application and contact information.
  • Mail or drop off application and contact information forms to Nebraska Heart Institute, 7440 South 91st Street, Attn: Marketing, Lincoln, NE 68526. You will receive a phone call to set up a time for an interview.
  • Attend interview on scheduled day and time. Bring packet information with you to the interview.
  • Complete required medical screenings/immunizations.
  • Attend orientation session on scheduled day and time.
